Foreign Language:
ASLU American Sign Language University (Free)
ASL is a visual gestural language. That means it is a language that is expressed through the hands and face and is perceived through the eyes. It isn’t just waving your hands in the air. If you furrow your eyebrows, tilt your head, glance in a certain direction, lean your body a certain way, puff your cheek, or any number of other “inflections” –you are adding or changing meaning in ASL. A “visual gestural” language carries just as much information as any spoken language. There is much more to learning American Sign Language than just memorizing signs. ASL has its own grammar, culture, history, terminology and other unique characteristics. It takes time and effort to become a “skilled signer.” But you have to start somewhere if you are going to get anywhere–so dive in and enjoy.

Spanish. Many of the foreign language programs on the market were for adults, and are now packaged and sold to the homeschool community. Foreign Languages for Kids is different. Our program was created to give parents like you a fun and easy way for their children to learn Spanish. Have you been frustrated by the other programs you’ve tried, or while looking for a program that is fun and engaging? That’s how our founder Kit Strauss found when she was looking for quality foreign language products for her children. So, she created her own! Our video series incorporates a teaching style that Kit developed over a decade with her own children. This means our program offers hands-on games, learning activities, colorful workbooks with easy to implement teaching ideas, and much more. Painful memorization is not useful or fun and is NOT a part of our program.

Automotive Systems (Free)
Often the maintenance needed on an automotive system requires a lot of knowledge and very little physical effort. This is the kind of repair work that separates the good mechanics from the bad ones very quickly. Without the proper knowledge, mechanics may work for hours before they correct a simple problem. Sometimes they may never get an engine running correctly. A good mechanic that understands engines can repair one in a few minutes. This course is written with the intention of starting you on the correct road to becoming a good auto mechanic. In it we describe the different parts of the automotive system and how they operate together to make the system run the way it should.
